CHICKEN HUM HUM 
2 lbs. chicken
1 c. white wine
2 lg. cans cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
1 lg. can mushrooms
1 can water chestnuts
1 tbsp. green pepper, chopped (optional)

Grease baking pan. Brown chicken - add soup to drippings. Add 1 cup white wine. Place chicken in large baking pan, cover with 1 can water chestnuts, sliced. Add chopped green pepper. Pour wine and soup mixture over chicken. Sprinkle thyme over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour, covered, and 1/2 hour uncovered.
