MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. coconut (opt.)
1 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) jar marshmallow creme

Cream together butter, sugar and cocoa. Add sifted flour, coconut, pecans, eggs and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. While cake is hot, spread marshmallow creme over cake and let cool then frost.

ICING FOR MUD CAKE:

1/2 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar

Mix all together until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
