TOMATO JUICE COCKTAIL 
4 c. tomato (fresh or canned)
1 1/2 c. water
Celery tops
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. sugar
8-9 cloves
9 drops Tabasco sauce
4 tsp. lemon juice

Combine all ingredients except lemon juice and boil slowly for 20 minutes. Press through a sieve forcing through as much pulp as possible. Add lemon juice and chill thoroughly. Serve very cold. This may be kept in a screw top jar in the cabinet of refrigerator for several days. Makes about 1 quart.
