1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 lb. butter
2 eggs
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Cinnamon & sugar for sprinkling on cookies

Cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Divide into 3 or 4 equal parts. Wrap in waxed paper, shaping into long round rolls. Chill. These keep well in freezer. Slice down, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon before baking at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.
