MOIST AND TENDER OVEN BAKED BBQ
RIBS
 
2 to 4 lbs. boneless beef or pork ribs
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup sugar
3 (18 oz. ea.) bottles K.C. Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce
Paprika

Preheat oven to 250°F. Mix equal amount of salt and sugar. Add in paprika to taste. Roll each portion of meat in sugar-salt-paprika mixture. Place meat in large baking dish in about one inch of water (or halfway each rib).

Bake at 250°F for one hour - remove from oven - turn meat. Bake at 250°F for one hour - remove from oven. Drain and add barbecue sauce as needed - increase heat to 400°F. Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and serve.

Very disappointed after reading all these reviews. I prepared it exactly as described and meat was tough and chewy. Perhaps my cut of meat was subpar. Not good, not good. Won't be using this recipe again.

Came out really juicy and tender but WOW way way too much salt and I love salt. I made them a second time and used half the salt and it still was a little salty but not as bad. However other than that, very simple and easy to make!

I made boneless pork ribs. I did not cover them as the recipe did not say to. They turned out drier than I thought they would, and they were pretty salty. I asked my family if we should make them again as this could just be my taste, and they said they would be good, but use less salt.

Here's the scoop! having no grill at the present time I looked for an awesome BBQ rib recipe. This is it!!!!
The timing is superb. I used whatever I had on hand for my rub; sugar, steak seasoning, everglades seasoning, garlic pepper. I ALWAYS oil my meat before rubbing..evoo.. I used beer instead of water. Followed the two hours at 250 turning once. Then Baby Rays BBQ sauce.....Absolutely AWESOME!

Very good recipe, but the comments about the salt are correct. I think I would use half the amount of salt next time. But overall a very good recipe.

Way too salty, and bbq ain't bbq unless it's done low and slow in a smoker. We have an electric water smoker than runs a little too hot, but is good for finishing this recipe the last hour to get that fabulous taste and color.
If you can find smoked paprika, all the better. BJ's has it at excellent price from McCormick.
