APPLE PUDDING 
Cake:

2 c. apples, peeled and diced
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Sauce:

1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
2 tsp. flour

Peel and dice apples. Add sugar to apples and let stand for 20 minutes. Sift together flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt. Add water and flour. Add to apple mixture.

Bake in 8 in. pan for 30 minutes at 375°F. Mix ingredients for sauce together in saucepan and cook until thick. Add vanilla and pour over cake.
