CORN, HAM, AND CHEESE CHOWDER 
2 c. cubed potatoes
1 c. chopped onion
1 carrot, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
1 (17 oz.) can whole corn
3-4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. ham and cheese
3 c. milk
1 c. potato water
1 tbsp. basil
1 tbsp. parsley
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook potatoes 15 minutes. Saute onion in butter. Add corn, flour, water. Cook on medium heat - add salt and pepper, vegetables and other seasoning. Add milk, 1 cup at a time. Let boil gently, stirring frequently. Add ham, potatoes and cheese. Heat well.
