CHERRY CHEWS 
1 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter

Mix until crumbly, press into bottom of 13" x 9 1/2" pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. coconut
1 c. well drained maraschino cherries
1/2 c. pecan halves

Pour over first mixture and sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes until lightly browned. Cool and ice with Cherry Almond Icing.

CHERRY ALMOND ICING:

3 tbsp. soft butter
2 c. icing sugar
2 tbsp. cherry juice
1/4 tsp. almond extract
