CHERRY COOKIE PIE 
1/2 stick butter
1 can cherries
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. lemon juice

Mix together, bring to boil, then cool.

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Press into baking pan. Then add cherry mixture, by spoon to cover crust, sprinkle top with sugar. Cook at 350 degrees until done.
