CHARLIE'S CHILI | |
2 lbs. hamburger 2 c. peppers, chopped 2 c. onions, chopped 2 c. celery, chopped 1 c. water 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. chili powder 2 (28 oz.) cans Hunt's crushed tomatoes 52 oz. can kidney beans While chopping your vegetables, brown your 2 pounds hamburger. Add pepper, onions, celery, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add your tomatoes and 4 level tablespoons chili powder and simmer on low for one hour. Add kidney beans and take two tablespoons cornstarch with cold water and make like a paste and fold in your chili. Makes 10 servings. |
