MICROWAVE APPLE CRISP 
5 c. apples, sliced

TOPPING:

3/4 c. oatmeal
1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter

Place apples in 2 quart utility dish. Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle topping evenly over sliced apples. Place in microwave for 15 minutes, turning 1/4 turn often. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
