MELANIE'S NACHO CASSEROLE | |
Great for entertainment, appetizers, or a meal! There's never leftovers in my home! ground beef (up to you but we like "the more the better") salsa (your choice) 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 (15 oz.) can original tomato sauce 1 pkg. taco seasoning jalapenos/hot banana peppers (I use both, we like it spicy) Mexican style cheese chips (any kind of chip you'd use for salsa) olives dairy sour cream Remember! This dish can be as spicy or mild as you like! Brown meat and drain the fat. Continue cooking over low heat as you add salsa, tomato paste, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and the banana pepper rings with their juice (it adds a lot of spicy flavor!) Make sure it's mixed well and let it continue to heat through as you lay a nice bed of chips into a casserole dish. Layer the chips, meat, more salsa, and cheese. You can even put more cheese under the meat! Decorate with more peppers, jalapeno or otherwise, and olives. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes then enjoy with sour cream! Submitted by: Melanie |
