HEARTY CHICKEN BAKE | |
3 c. hot mashed potatoes 1 c. shredded cheddar 1 can French fried onions 1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cubed 1 (10 oz.) bag frozen mixed vegetables, thawed & drained 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/4 c. milk 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl combine potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can onions. Spoon mixture into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Spread across bottom and sides to form shell. In large bowl combine chicken, vegetables, soup and milk and seasonings. Pour into shell. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions and bake, uncovered until onions are golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. 4 to 6 servings. |
