NORWEGIAN SUGARED NUTS | |
1 lb. shelled mixed nuts or 4 c. pecans 2 tsp. butter 1/4 c. butter 2 egg whites 1 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cinnamon Place nuts in a shallow pan. Add 2 teaspoons butter. Bake at 325 degrees until brown. Remove from pan and cool. Melt remaining butter in the pan. Beat egg whites until peaks form. Fold in combination of sugar, salt, cinnamon. Stir in nuts. Spread over melted butter, forming a single layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. |
