REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
8 sm. cucumbers, sliced thin
6 sm. onions, sliced thin
3 c. sugar
3 c. apple cider vinegar
1/3 c. pickling salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric

Wash and sterilize 1 gallon glass jar. Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, spices and let stand until dissolved. Into jar slice cucumbers and onions in layers and cover with brine mixture. Place covered into refrigerator, stir with a wooden spoon every other day (1 shake). After 2 weeks may separate into smaller containers. Keeps well in refrigerator for at least 6 months.
