HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
3 1/2 lb. stew beef, rump or chuck (cut in inch-size cubes) 1/2 cube of butter 2 tsp. paprika 3 onions, sliced 4 c. water 1/2 c. sour cream Salt and pepper to taste Melt butter in pan; add meat on medium heat and brown; add onions then continue to brown. Add the paprika and water and simmer 2 1/2 hours. Before serving, add sour cream, salt and pepper. Serve with boiled noodles and butter. Also thicken gravy with 2 tablespoons of flour in 1 cup of water. |
