1/2 bushel tomatoes Wash and quarter, put in blender. 2 garlic 4 peppers 1 lb. onions Put in blender, puree. Put in big pan to cook over low heat. Add 1 pint salad oil. Cook 30 minutes. Skim off oil. 1/2 c. and 2 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. oregano 1 tbsp. sweet basil 1/2 c. sugar 4 lg. can tomato paste Add to juice. Mix. Cook 30 minutes. Put in jars and hot bath 20 minutes. Serves 36. Calories 117, fat 1.5 gm, calories from fat 10%, sodium 1683 mg. Laboratory |
