1 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
1 sm. apples, cored, peeled, and thinly sliced
1 slice bread, toasted
1 (1 oz.) slice processed American cheese

Measure water into small saucepan. Add spices. Add apple slices, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer until apple is tender. Drain. Place apple on toast. Top with cheese. Broil until cheese bubbles.
