1 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Beat egg, cream sugar and shortening. Mix dry ingredients with nuts, add to mixture. Form small balls, roll in sugar, press with bottom of glass. Bake 350 for 10-12 minutes.
