About 8 quarts. 13 c. water 1 c. Kosher salt 3 c. vinegar Mix in large pot until salt is dissolved. In each sterilized jar put: 2 sprigs dill 2 bay leaves 1 clove garlic (4 chunks) 2-3 red chili peppers (optional) 1 grape leaf for each jar Pack washed cucumbers in jars. Add dill, bay leaves and garlic. Pour brine over cucumbers. Put grape leaves on top and lids on. Process in boiling water 10 minutes. Wait 6-8 weeks before opening. The longer you leave the red peppers in, the hotter they get. |
