MOM'S DILL PICKLES 
9 c. water
3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. canning salt

Boil the above ingredients and let full boil 3 minutes.

Cucumbers (washed and graded to size)

Pack washed cucumbers into quart size jars. To each jar add:

1 lg. sprig of fresh dill
2 clean grape leaves
1 clove garlic
Alum (pea size)

Pour the boiled mixture over the cucumbers to cover and seal the jars. Taste best when you let them sit for 3 months or more before you open them.
