BUTTER TURTLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. softened butter
2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. real butter
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix butter, flour and brown sugar at medium speed until crumbly. Press into bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts over crust.

In saucepan, place brown sugar and butter; heat, stirring constantly until surface boils. Boil 1/2-1 minute but no more. Spread over nuts and crust. Bake at 350 degrees for only 18 minutes. Sprinkle with chips; when slightly melted, swirl with knife. Do not spread; cool completely before cutting.
