SUPER SUGAR SNAPS 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. Puritan oil
2 eggs, well beaten
5 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring

Cream sugar, butter, oil and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and mix well. Add flavoring. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Mash down with a small glass dipped in sugar. Decorate as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

This recipe will make about 9 dozen cookies, so it can be divided if need be. The cookies freeze well, however, if enough are left around after your family and friends taste them. Mouth watering!
