GERMAN SLAW 
1 lg. head cabbage, shredded
1 lg. white onion, cut up
1 lg. green pepper, cut up
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. sugar

Layer cabbage, onions and pepper in serving dish. Pour 1 cup sugar on top. Set aside. Combine 3/4 cup oil, salt, 1 cup vinegar, celery seed, mustard and sugar. Bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage and cover. Refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.
