ITALIAN CREAM CHEESE CAKE 
1 cube of butter
1/2 c. shortening

Cream together and add 5 egg yolks.

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Add alternately with:

1 c. buttermilk
1 c. coconut
1 c. nuts, chopped fine
1 tsp. vanilla

Fold in 5 beaten egg whites (stiff). Bake in three nine inch pans at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

ICING:

1/4 cube butter
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese

Cream cream cheese and butter together.

1 lb. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
