MAKE AHEAD PEA SALAD | |
1 head shredded lettuce 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 1 lg. can peas Mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 4 tbsp. Bac-O's 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese Using a large salad bowl, layer in the following order: lettuce, green pepper, onion, celery, peas. Then spread mayonnaise, like icing on top until mayonnaise is at least 1/2" thick. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar. Sprinkle 4 tablespoons Bac-O's. Next sprinkle 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top. Fix 12 to 24 hours ahead of serving time and refrigerate. Toss right before serving. |
