ICE CREAM CAKE 
1 lb. Hydrox or Oreo cookies
1 stick butter
1/2 to 1 gal. ice cream, softened
12 oz. Cool Whip

Crumble cookies until fairly fine, (food processor works great). Melt butter and mix with cookie crumbs. Use oblong or round spring form pan. Press cookie mixture firmly in bottom of pan. You can use all or partial depending if you want layers or not. Place in freezer for about 20 minutes or until firm.

Create your own combinations. For layer cake, add ice cream (any flavor you prefer, mint chocolate chip is excellent). Freeze until firm, add more cookie mixture, freeze, add more ice cream, any flavor, freeze. At this point, you can frost with Cool Whip and decorate for a birthday or add strawberries and Cool Whip or hot fudge with Cool Whip. Oblong can be decorated and left in pan. Great for birthday cake.
