SOUTHERN STYLE CORNBREAD 
2 tbsp. grease drippings (bacon, sausage or butter)
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 (7 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten

Pour drippings into an 8 inch square baking pan; place in 350 degree oven. Combine dry ingredients; add remaining ingredients, mixing until moist. Pour into hot pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into desired size.
