SOUTHERN STYLE SAUSAGE CORNBREAD 
1/2 lb. pork sausage
1 1/4 c. milk
2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 tsp. sugar

Partially brown sausage in large skillet, breaking up with spoon. Drain, reserve 1/4 cup drippings. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease muffin cups or 10-inch skillet. Preheat in oven.

Combine egg, milk, and reserved drippings in bowl; stir with fork until blended. Stir in cornmeal, sugar, and sausage; blend well. Pour into hot pans. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
