COUNTRY STYLE SPARERIBS | |
1 c. beef broth 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 med. onion, sliced thin 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour 2 1/2 lbs. pork ribs 1/2 c. peach preserves 3 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. cold water Hot cooked noodles Combine beef broth, peach preserves, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and salt. Place ribs in crockery cooker; pour broth mixture over ribs. Place onions atop. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8 hours or on HIGH heat for 4 hours. Remove ribs to serving platter; keep warm. Skim fat from cooking liquid. Strain liquid; measure 1 1/2 cups. Combine water and flour thoroughly; mix with liquid and cook on low heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Serve over ribs and noodles. |
