CHEESY SPINACH DIP WITH CRISPY WON-TONS | |
4 cloves garlic or 4 teaspoons minced garlic 1 10 oz package frozen spinach 1 jar of Alfredo sauce 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated 8 oz cream cheese (softened) 2 7 oz Hatch diced green chiles 1 jalapeno, diced (or 1 habanero if you are brave) 1 large sourdough bread bowl 1 package won tons, cut diagonally Cut off lid to bread bowl and pull out all the bread inside. Set the bowl aside. Pre heat oven to 450°F. Spinach Dip: Drain spinach and set aside. Mix all ingredients together to a good consistency. Slowly stir in spinach. Once mixed, fill in bread bowl and replace the lid. Wrap the entire bowl in foil. Place in oven for 45 minutes. Won Ton Chips: Cut won tons into triangles. Place on a large cookie sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle remaining grated parmesan over the top. If you have a pepper mill, crack some fresh pepper on top of the cheese. Place in the oven at 350 degrees for just a few minutes. Watch closely, they will burn quick. Pull out when chips start to brown. Let cool and enjoy!! Submitted by: Jonny Phelps |
