KAHLUA 
1 qt. plain brandy
1 qt. hot water, almost boiling
6 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. instant coffee
2 vanilla beans, each split down the middle
1 1/2 c. vodka

Dissolve sugar and coffee in hot water. Add brandy, vodka and vanilla beans. Seal lightly in gallon jug. Put in dark places for 2 months.
