SWEET AND SOUR SHRIMP | |
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1/2 c. vinegar 2/3 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. cornstarch 3/4 tsp. salt 1 med. onion, sliced 1 bell pepper, diced 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined Drain pineapple, saving liquid. Combine liquid with enough water to make 1 cup, put into large sauce pan. Add vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch and salt. Cook until sauce thickens. Add onions, pineapple chunks and raw shrimp. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles. |
