BUTTERSCOTCH NUT SQUARES
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, soft
2 tbsp. butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
1/2 c. white corn syrup
2 c. (12 oz. each) deluxe mixed nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, salt and sugar. Mix in very soft butter. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan using waxed paper to smooth. Press firmly. Bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden brown.

In microwave bowl, mix butter, chips and syrup. Heat until a full boil, then cook 1 minute. Spread nuts over cooked crust. Pour topping over nuts evenly. Cool completely and cut into small squares. Very rich. Keep refrigerated. Freezes well, also.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
