2 to 3 lb. chicken wings or thighs 1 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. minced garlic 1/4 c. maple syrup Simmer soy sauce, sugar and garlic very slowly for 10 minutes. Mean while, cut wings in half (throwing away bony tips) or skin thighs and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and pour soy mixture over chicken and then pour maple syrup over top. Bake another 30 to 40 minutes, basting or turning every 15 minutes. Mixture may be frozen and reused once more. |
