1 1/2 c. water 1 egg 1 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt Black pepper to taste Beat together well. To be used for frying veal cutlets, shrimp, oysters, pork chops, chicken, eggplant, green tomatoes. soak meat or vegetables in batter at least 5 minutes. Let drain. Roll in flour and fry in deep Crisco. |
