BEAN SOUP 
1 lb. navy beans
1 lg. onion, cut fine
1-2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
1/2 tsp. rosemary
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1/4 c. vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. oregano

Wash beans and cover well with water. Bring to a boil and add bay leaves, caraway seeds, rosemary, onion, and garlic. Let simmer for another 30 minutes and serve.

IMPORTANT: Do not add salt, pepper, and vinegar until beans are cooked, as they will prevent them from getting done.
