BANANA-POPPY SEED MUFFINS 
1 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. poppy seeds
2 ripe bananas
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. orange juice
1 egg
Citrus glaze (recipe follows)

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Place bananas in container of an electric blender; process until smooth. Add sugar, oil, orange juice, and egg; blend thoroughly. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and glaze. Yield: 1 dozen.

CITRUS GLAZE:

1 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients; stir well. Yield: About 2/3 cup.
