CHOCOLATE-CHERRY BARS 
BARS:

1 pkg. fudge cake mix
1 (21 oz.) can cherry fruit filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to moderate 350 degrees. Using solid shortening, grease and flour a 10x15 inch jelly roll or 9x13 inch pan.

In large bowl, combine the 4 ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in jelly roll pan 20-30 minutes; 9x13 inch pan 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over bars.
