1/4 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat sugar and eggs together until nice and creamy. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together three times. Add eggs, sugar and flavoring. Put milk and butter on stove top and bring to a boil. Stir until butter is all melted. Add to egg mixture as soon as you take it off the stove. Put in oven as quickly as possible. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.
