PECAN BRANDY CRESCENTS | |
2 sticks butter 5 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. brandy (Christian Brothers is good) 1 tbsp. water 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. finely chopped pecans Powdered sugar Cream butter and sugar. Stir in flavorings and water. Sift flour and salt together. Add to mixture and blend thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Using portions about the size of a small walnut, roll and form into crescent shaped cookies. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for about 20 minutes until firm but not browned. While still warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen. |
