RECIPE COLLECTION
“OVEN BAKED BARBECUED RIBS” IS IN:

OVEN BAKED BARBECUED RIBS
1 small onion or 1/2 medium
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. red wine vinegar
1 cup water or beef broth
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tsp. chili powder
3 tbsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 to 3 lbs. ribs

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except ribs. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook over low heat until thickened; allow to cool.

Place ribs in a large, flat pan. Season with salt and pepper, and a little garlic powder on both sides.

Roast in oven at 350°F for about 1 hour. Drain any grease that has accumulated. Cover the roasted ribs with sauce and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until the ribs are tender, basting occasionally as needed.

It was simply delicious. I modified the recipie a little. I seasoned ribs with real garlic instead of powder, and used "sweet smoky rub". I didn't have dry mustard, so I added honey-dijon dressing. It came up awesome! The comments were very helpful.
Thanks for this recipie!

Just put these ribs in the oven and they smell awesome already! Can't wait for the final result... My husband and I live in Belize and we can't get dry mustard here so I substituted Dijon - smells great!

I usually do the low n slow on the smoker but was looking for a quick fix and found this recipe. The timing is right on. To simplify, I used Penzey's BBQ 3000 as a dry rub in the first step, cooked for an hour, then used Bone Suckin Sauce to coat the ribs and covered in foil for the next 45 mins. Let rest for 15 mins after that, and they were really good.
