BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1 1/2 lb. round steak 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. butter 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 sm. cube garlic 1 c. beef broth 1 c. sour cream Cooked noodles Cut meat in thin strips, dust with flour and brown in butter. Add mushrooms, onions, and garlic; brown slightly; stir in beef broth (which may be substituted by 2 beef bouillon cubes and boiling water). Cover and let cook 1 hour. Stir in sour cream and continue cooking 5 more minutes over low heat. Serves 4-6 persons. Pour sauce over cooked egg noodles. |
