SCALLOPED OKRA AND CORN 
1 can cut okra
2 tbsp. butter
1 can of corn
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 lb. sharp cheese
1 c. dry bread crumbs

Drain water from okra, rinsing once in cold water. Fry okra in 2 tablespoons butter for almost 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

Alternating okra and corn in greased baking dish. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper.

In saucepan make a sauce with 2 tablespoons butter, flour and milk, add cheese and salt, stir until cheese is melted. Pour over okra and corn, cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees until mixture is hot or mixture is bubbling and crumbs are brown.
