BROCCOLI HAM CASSEROLE 
3 c. cooked rice
10 oz. frozen or fresh broccoli, cooked
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. diced onion
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 c. milk
4 c. diced ham
Sliced American cheese
2 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 3-quart casserole dish; cover bottom of dish with rice. Layer broccoli on top of rice. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and saute onions until tender. Add flour, salt, and pepper.

Remove from heat and gradually add milk. Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Add ham; pour over broccoli and rice. Cover with cheese.

Toss bread crumbs with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle over top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
