EGG - NOG PIE 
1 baked pie shell
1 tsp. gelatin
1 tsp. cold water
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. whip cream, whipped (measure before whipping)
Nutmeg

Soak gelatin in cold water. Scald milk in top of double boiler. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; mix well. Add to scalded milk and cook until thick and smooth. Continue cooking 15 minutes longer. Stir small amount of mixture into beaten egg yolks and return to double boiler and cook a few minutes longer. Add butter and gelatin and stir. Cool. Add vanilla. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into baked pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Chill until served.
