PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. of persimmon pulp (approximately 3 med. sized persimmons)
1/2 tsp. baking soda

(This mixture will congeal.)

1/2 c. butter, butter or shortening
1 c. sugar

1 egg

Beat. (Add persimmon pulp to batter.)

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Slowly add dry ingredients to batter, and mix thoroughly.

1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. of raisins or dates

Drop batter by spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
