PERSIMMON OATMEAL DROP COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Stir soda into persimmon pulp and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Add oats, coconut and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
