DIXIE PORK CHOPS | |
8 pork chops 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sage 4 peeled and sliced apples 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 cup hot water 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 cup raisins Preheat oven 350°F. SAVE FAT! Slowly brown chops in hot fat (1 tablespoon). Sprinkle salt and sage on them. SAVE FAT in a jar with cover. Put in baking dish and top with apples - sprinkle with sugar. Shake flour and water together in a jar then add fat, then vinegar. Now add raisins and pour over top. Bake uncovered 1 hour 350°F. |
