CREOLE GREEN BEANS 
1/2 lb. fresh snap beans
4 or 5 new potatoes, soaked in water with a little soda, then scraped
1 sm. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 c. boiling water

Combine all the ingredients in a small stew pan; cover with a tight fitting lid; cook over medium heat 5 minutes. Reduce heat; cook about 15 minutes longer. The beans should be tender crisp. Makes 2 servings.
